Delta Airlines is readying to launch the newest nonstop flight service to the island of St Kitts.

The carrier will be operating a new weekly flight out of New York’s John F Kennedy Airport on Saturdays.

The flights will depart JFK at 8:35 AM and arrive at St Kitts’ Robert L Bradshaw International Airport at 1:45 PM, while the return flight from St Kitts will depart at 2:50 PM and arrive in New York at 6:35 PM.

Delta will be operating a Boeing 757-200 aircraft with 20 seats in first class, 27 Delta Comfort+ seats and 152 seats in economy.

It’s a boost for a destination that will make a big mark on the Caribbean region early next month with the highly anticipated debut of the new Park Hyatt St Kitts, the first-ever Park Hyatt luxury hotel in the Caribbean.

“Delta is committed to providing a network that supports both business and leisure travel needs, while also offering our customers unmatched operational reliability and innovative products and services at the airport and onboard,” said Henry Kuykendall, Delta’s Vice President – New York.

Delta also announced additional peak season service from Atlanta to St Kitts, with a second weekly nonstop flight from Atlanta to St Kitts between Dec. 23 and Jan. 6, 2018.

The St Kitts Marriott.

“The timing of this additional flying is especially favorable, with many of our new hotel developments including Belle Mont Farm at Kittitian Hill, Park Hyatt St. Kitts at Christophe Harbour and others either open or soon to be opening,” said St Kitts Tourism Minister Lindsey Grant. “The Northeastern U.S. has historically been our largest source market for visitors and Atlanta is the most highly-trafficked airport in the U.S., therefore these flights help support our growing room stock.”
