How to Spend Your Next St Maarten Vacation With Chefs

An all-inclusive vacation with a gourmet twist.

That’s the offer from St Maarten’s Sonesta Ocean Point resort, which is hosting a new gastronomic experience on May 24-206.

The “A Chefs Night” package includes culinary creations and events with some of the top chefs from Sweden.

It’s the brainchild of Chef Görgen Tidén, and will include dinners featuring Scandinavian-French-Caribbean at the hotel’s Azul restaurant, a series of “Mingle with the Chefs” pre-dinner receptions at the hotel’s rooftop lounge, a shopping tour with chefs including an excursion to a local St Maarten markets and a cooking class to learn “how to master culinary techniques.”

Tiden will be joined by Fredrik Hedlund, chef de cuisine and partner of Lammet & Grisen in Sälen and Öland, Sweden; Fredrik Borgskog, a pastry chef; Christophe Buchet, chef at Sannas in Stockholm; and Fredrick Björlin, executive chef at Bobergsmatsal, Botanique & Nordiskakantinen.

The package comes with accommodations in a junior suite or higher, and begins at $235 per person per night based on double occupancy.
