A New Way to Visit Dominica

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - November 9, 2015

Dominica is open for business, and the island is now launching new promotions to draw visitors as it recovers from Tropical Storm Erika.

The island has unveiled the new “Stay 3, Pay 2” package, an island-wide deal that includes 33 percent off of two days and a third extra day free, along with one free perk.

The perks include everything from a 15-minute spa treatment to a complimentary whale watch.

The offer is valid until Dec. 31.

“Post Tropical Storm Erika, [the Discover Dominica Authority] is increasing the promotion of the destination to indicate that we are open for business,” said Colin Piper, CEO/Director of Tourism, DDA. “Given the temporary reduction in airlift and current pricing challenges for air access, the initial focus of the ‘Stay 3, Pay 2’ promotion will be to attract visitors from Guadeloupe and Martinique via the ferry, the rest of the Caribbean and other destinations.”
