Norwegian Epic has reentered service following a series of shipwide enhancements.

The ship was in a three week dry dock. IT will be homeport at Port Canaveral in the fall of 2016.

Norwegian’s second-largest ship now has a slate of new features, including Broadway musical Priscilla Queen of the Desert, entertainment venue The Cavern Club, a library and extensive renovations to restaurants including Moderno Churrascaria, Cagney’s, La Cucina, Le Bistro, Garden Café, Manhattan Room and Taste.

“Norwegian Epic’s extended dry dock has given us the opportunity to not only enhance the ship’s public spaces but to add significant new features,” said Andy Stuart, president and COO of Norwegian Cruise Line. “We continue to heavily invest in our current fleet, to ensure that guests have a consistent experience across all Norwegian ships and the freedom and flexibility to create their ideal cruise vacation.”

The ship also saw some technical changes, including a new pair of “Becker rudders” along with more efficient propeller caps and energy-efficient hull paint.
