A major new brand is now in the hyper-competitive Caribbean all-inclusive sector.

The Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall has officially opened its doors in Jamaica at the former site of the Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall.

The property is the first Hyatt-branded all-inclusive resort in the English-speaking Caribbean; it will be followed next week by the opening of its sister, adults-only property, the Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall.

Hyatt’s all-inclusive foray into the region is the product of a partnership between Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Playa Hotels and Resorts.

The hotel features 496 suites, including 28 premium swim-up suites, according to the company.

“We are delighted to celebrate the opening of Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall, and soon, Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall, in such a vibrant destination and community,” said Carlos Cabrera, senior vice president of all inclusive operations for Hyatt. “The resort transformation has been spectacular and true to offering two distinctive all inclusive experiences, for families and for adults, within one contiguous resort destination. We look forward to welcoming back guests and inviting new Hyatt guests to discoverthe breadth of activities or relaxation they seek from a Jamaican getaway.”

Hyatt’s first all-inclusive to open in the Caribbean region was the Hyatt Zilara Cancun, which debuted earlier this year.
