Dutch Caribbean carrier Insel Air is on an expansion push.

Beginning Dec. 15, the Curacao-based carrier will be returning Trinidad to its network, with new service between Curacao and Port of Spain.

On Dec. 18, the carrier will be operating direct flights between Curacao and Georgetown, Guyana, with twice-weekly flights between the Dutch Caribbean and the South American country.

“Passengers traveling from Aruba, Bonaire, Miami, St. Maarten, Santo Domingo, Caracas, Las Piedras and Port-of-Spain will enjoy a seamless and fast connection to the beautiful surroundings of Georgetown,” said Jurgen Lippinkhof, chief commercial officer at Insel Air.

The carrier already operates two flights per week out of Aruba to Georgetown.

The new flights take Insel Air’s network to 20 destinations in the wider region.

The new flights come as Insel Air prepares to launch two weekly flights between Aruba and Manaus in northern Brazil beginning in January 2015.

Earlier this year, the carrier launched new Aruba-Miami service, along with flights between Aruba and Valencia, Venezuela.

And in June, Insel Air launched two new nonstop flights per week between Curacao and the Caribbean city of Barranquilla, Colombia.

Insel is also the only carrier that offers direct service between the United States and Bonaire, out of Miami.
