Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has named Daniel Scott the new managing director of Rosewood Mayakoba, the company announced.

Scott assumed the position on Oct. 1; he now oversees operations for the 130-room luxury resort on the Riviera Maya section of Mexico’s Caribbean coast.

He had most recently served as the resort manager of the Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Los Cabos.

“I have loved every Rosewood property that I have been fortunate enough to call home and the reason for this is simple, the people,” Scott said in a release. “I am humbled to be now leading the special team of Rosewood Mayakoba and look forward to the taking the guest and employee experience to the next level.”

In a statement, Rosewood Vice President Graeme Davis said Scott was “proven leader with exceptional results and we are confident he will bring these skills and passion for luxury hospitality to his new role at Rosewood Mayakoba.”
