The Caribbean’s Newest Luxury Hotel Just Opened in Grenada
If you haven’t been to the Silversands hotel in Grenada, it’s one of the most stunning pieces of design in the entire Caribbean: striking lines, a sweeping scope and a spectacular setting on the heart of the island’s Grand Anse Beach.
This weekend, another Silversands opened its doors in Grenada: Silversands Beach House, a boutique luxury beach resort on the the island’s Portici Beach.
The luxury property officially welcomed its first guests this weekend as the first addition to what is now called the “Silversands Collection.”
The new luxury hotel has a different aesthetic than its forebear: it’s a collection of 28 rooms and suites, all with large canopies and terraces, all with indoor-outdoor designs and either set on the cliffside or on the sand.
The boutique beach resort’s dining concept is called Azzurro, with Italian-inspired fare ranging from a daily fish tartare to veal cutlet Milanese and cauliflower steak. There’s also a special pool and beach menu with casual dishes like charcuterie, beef burgers and fresh-baked pizza.
Guests at Silversands Beach House also have a access to the amenities and eateries at the original Silversands hotel, from the Asian fusion spot Asiatique to the resort’s magnificent rum bar, Puro. (Silversands is also home to a rather impressive spa, too).
Beach House is the latest addition to what has quietly become one of the top collections of luxury hotels on any Caribbean island, including outstanding resorts like Calabash, Laluna, the original Silversands and, of course, Grenada’s grande dame, the world-renowned Spice Island Beach Resort.
Grenada has been seeing a sizable increase in tourism in the last few years, with travelers drawn to the island’s unique blend of eco-tourism, culinary prowess, world-class beaches and charming authenticity.
Silversands is offering 30 percent savings on stays as part of an opening offer. You can find more here.
