Park Hyatt to Debut New Los Cabos Resort This Year

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - January 14, 2024

The Park Hyatt brand is opening its second hotel in the Caribbean-Mexico region later this year: the new Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo del Sol resort.

The new property is expected to open by the “end” of 2024, according to Hyatt Hotels.

The beachfront resort will be a mix of rooms and suites, some with private plunge pools, along with a collection of villas.

A standard king room.

In all, the property will include 163 rooms, 88 of which will be suites, joined by three villas. That’s along with a spa, five pools, a fitness center and five dining concepts, including the signature Mediterranean-focused eatery.

“Our continued, purposeful growth in the year ahead will follow an insight-led approach, focused on listening to our guests, customers and World of Hyatt members and their evolving travel needs such as a growing desire for immersive and distinct experiences that prioritize wellbeing,” said Mark Vondrasek, Chief Commercial Officer at Hyatt.

Los Cabos has been seeing rapid growth as a travel destination in recent years, particularly in the luxury sector.

That includes the recent entry of new brands like Marriott’s Luxury Collection, Nobu and Tapestry Collection by Hilton; the latter is opening a hotel in the beginning of this year.
