Sandals Resorts Is Adding New Rooms in Saint Lucia, Jamaica

By: Jose Antonio - December 12, 2022

Two Sandals resorts in the Caribbean are about to get bigger, Caribbean Journal has learned.

Next spring, Sandals Resorts is adding more rooms to a pair of resorts in the Caribbean: the Beaches Negril resort in Jamaica and the Sandals Halcyon Beach in Saint Lucia.

In Negril, the Beaches resort is adding new Firesky Reserve Villas and the new Eventide Penthouse Collection. Firesky will consist of six villas, each with four bedrooms across three stories and 3,700 square feet. All of the villas will include large living areas, kitchens, private oceanfront plunge pools and rooftop decks.

The Eventide collection will include six suites, each with either three or four bedrooms with room for up to 16; the suite will include access to a rooftop terrace.

Each of the room types is ideal for large families looking to take advantage of one of the region’s top family-friendly resort experiences.

In Saint Lucia, the company is adding new Joli Beachfront Suites and Koko Rondoval Villas.

The expansion includes 20 new Joli Beachfront Suites, each with walkout beach access and private pools, along with balconies featuring the company’s Tranquility Soaking Tubs.

That’s along with the addition of five Koko Rondoval Villas, the first-ever Rondoval villas at the resort —a Sandals signature famous for their rounded walls and thatched roofs.

The Saint Lucia will expansion will raise Halcyon Beach’s room count to a total of 194 rooms.

“Our guest experience drives everything we do and these new suites are emblematic of our unrelenting move across the brands as we challenge ourselves to reimagine every facet of the business,” said Adam Stewart, Executive Chairman of Sandals Resorts International. “We wanted to go beyond traditional luxury and these new suites are stunners; it’s about design and amenities that make connecting with each other more comfortable and more fulfilling.”

All of the new rooms are now available for reservations for stays beginning April 6, 2023.

The new room announcement comes as Sandals readies for what should be an exciting 2023, headlined by the debut of the new Sandals Dunns River in May 2023.
