Turks and Caicos’ Amanyara to Reopen in July

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - June 30, 2020

Turks and Caicos’ ultra-luxe Amanyara resort is reopening in July, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The Providenciales resort will be relaunching on July 24, two days after the Turks and Caicos officially reopens for tourism.

The resort will reopen with a lower room count, according to a spokesperson for the property.

“Putting distance between people is the principle strategy for reducing COVID-19 infection rates, as well as thorough and ongoing cleaning and sanitization,” the resort said in a statement. “Amanyara will continue to deliver the professional, personalized, genuine and compassionate service in addition to continually evaluating, updating, and innovating standards of excellence where necessary.”

The resort’s new health and safety protocols range from temperature checks on arrival to broad distribution of hand sanitizer across the property to touch-point focused housekeeping.

Food and beverage concepts will include options for “different, more private dining experiences,” with menus focused on wellness options and tables spaced more than six feet apart, among other changes.

The resort’s spa will be open, with each facility of the spa open to one guest or couple at a time, and a 45-minute turnover minimum between spa rooms to allow for “thorough cleaning” of  each treatment room.
