Aruba Is Getting a Radisson Blu Resort

Radisson Hotel Group is opening a new hotel on the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The new Radisson Blu Hotel and Residence Aruba is the product of a partnership between Radisson and Beachside Development Company.

It marks a return to Aruba for the hotel companhy, which had for some time occupied what is now the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort until that hotel was rebranded in 2015 as a Hilton. 

The new-build Palm Beach-area hotel is slated to make its debut in the spring of 2020, according to the company.

“We couldn’t be happier to announce this hotel signing on the beautiful island of Aruba,” said Ken Greene, president, Americas, Radisson Hotel Group. “This signing exemplifies our commitment to executing our five-year strategic plan by growing the Radisson Blu brand in key destinations across the Americas. Our valued guests will truly have the opportunity to unwind and relax at this tropical getaway.”

It will be the only Radisson Blu hotel in the Caribbean region; Blu is one of Radisson’s upscale hotel brands.

The new Radisson Aruba will include 208 suites ranging from 1,000 square feet to more than 2,000 square feet, with amenities like full kitchens and in-room washers and dryers.

The property will include a spa as well, along with two pools, a children’s pool, a covered outdoor yoga space and a fitness center, among other amenities.

Dining concepts will include a “fine-dining steakhouse.” along with a poolside eatery.

Radisson’s current Caribbean portfolio includes three Caribbean hotels: the Radisson Grenada, the Radisson Aquatica in Barbados and the Radisson Hotel Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.
