One of the region’s leading boat charter firms has expanded into The Bahamas — meaning a new way to vacation around the destination’s exotic outposts.

MarineMax Vacations has officially taken its premium power catamaran operation to The Bahamas, where it will be operating from the Abaco Beach Resort.

“We are proud to be working with this iconic resort to bring catamaran charters to a new audience while opening up the opportunity to have a change of scenery for those that know MarineMax Vacations”, said Raul Bermudez, Vice President of MarineMax Charter Division.

The Marsh Harbour outpost is the second for MarineMax Vacations, which has long operated a charter base in the British Virgin Islands.

The company’s fleet of boats ranges from 36 to 48 feet (along with sailboat options through one of MarineMax’s partners), with the option for travelers to captain the boats themselves or have an all-inclusive experience with an onboard crew.

And the location in Abaco makes sense, given the archipelago’s myriad islands and cays, from Treasure Cay to tiny island hotspots like Green Turtle Cay and Great Guana Cay, among others.
