Silver Airways’ Newest Destination

It’s about to get a whole lot easier to visit the beach-filled paradise of Cat Island in The Bahamas.

Silver Airways has officially announced a new twice weekly service between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and New Bight Airport Cat Island, Bahamas, beginning Feb. 13, 2019.

“We are thrilled to be adding Cat Island to Silver’s already extensive network of Bahamian Family Islands, which includes more routes between Florida and the Bahamas than any other airline,” said Silver Airways CEO Steve Rossum.

“Congratulations to Silver Airways for their continued growth at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport,” said Mark Gale, CEO/Director of Aviation at Silver.  “Cat Island in the southern Bahamas is an unspoiled gem which offers travelers a new destination currently unserved by our commercial airlines.”

It’s a great way to visit unspoiled beaches like Old Bight Beach, tucked-away beach resorts like Fernandez Bay Village and explore historical landmarks like The Hermitage.
