Why to Try a Taste of St Croix

Long one of the region’s most beloved food festivals, the Taste of St Croix is returning again for 2018.

While in previous iterations the festival focused on a culinary competition, this year’s event will be different, aiming to commemorate the revitalization of St Croix’s culinary community.

It’s another big step for what has become one of the hottest food destinations in the Caribbean, led in large part by a booming gastronomic scene in downtown Christiansted.

Indeed, that’s where the culinary showcase will be centered.

“This year’s Taste of St. Croix will be a culinary block-party with more than 30 restaurants, chefs, farmers, and fishermen from around St. Croix showcasing gastronomic masterpieces crafted using the freshest, locally-sourced ingredients,” organizers said in a statement.

The festival includes live entertainment, along with wine, beer and spirits tastings (yes, including local rum), along with a host of after parties across downtown Christiansted.
