After months of work, the Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina in the British Virgin Islands has completed a number of significant renovations in advance of their planned grand re-opening slated for Oct. 1.

“We’re excited to offer our guests a variety of new and improved accommodations, amenities and on-island activities as we wrap up renovations and prepare for our grand reopening,” said Scott McArdle, general manager of Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina. “We’ve been partially open through the spring and summer months, but after many months of clean-up and restoration, we’re ready to return to full operations this fall.”

Beginning Aug. 1, 30 rooms and suites will be available in Marina Village, including 15 guest rooms and 15 one-bedroom suites complete with gourmet kitchens, spacious living areas and expansive balconies overlooking the marina and Great Camanoe, according to McArdle.

Guests can also stay in the resort’s six spacious villas, including the two-bedroom Pool House, Cliff House and Beach House; the three-bedroom Mariner House; and the four-bedroom Reef House and Villa Mila, all of which feature a full gourmet kitchen, elevated dining area, a living room and balconies off all bedrooms and living spaces offering views of the Caribbean Sea.

Multiple dining options will be available to guests, including breakfast, lunch and dinner at Caravela Restaurant, refreshing cocktails at Donovan’s Lounge and a limited menu at the resort’s casual, outdoor restaurant, Tierra! Tierra!.

The Gourmet Market & Deli will continue to offer full provisioning for boats and villas.

Ixora Spa, now located in the Passage House villa, will feature a slate of new treatments in its multiple treatment rooms, private pool and new beachfront cabana.

Other updates include a 24-hour fitness room, a newly upgraded Wi-Fi network that offers coverage throughout the resort.

The multi-tiered infinity pool and pool bar have been resurfaced and refinished, and the fully renovated 55-slip marina features brand new pedestals, providing access to power and water, as well as new lighting, according to the property.
