Fast-growing low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines is continuing its Caribbean Basin expansion with the planned launch of new service to Guatemala City.

The lights from Houston to Guatemala will launch Sept. 7.

They will operate thrice-weekly through Nov.7 before operating four times each week beginning Nov. 8, according to the company.

The new services complement existing flights from Houston to Cancun in the Mexican Caribbean and San Pedro Sula in Honduras.

Spirit has been adding new regional flights at a breakneck pace in 2018, highlighted by the most recent announcement of a major expansion to the Caribbean out of Orlando.
