Martinique Just Set a New Cruise Record

One of the Caribbean’s fastest-growing cruise destinations just set a new record.

Martinique’s Pointe Simon pier in Fort de France just set a new single-day record for cruise calls, with a whopping seven ships in port on Dec. 14.

Cruise lines in Fort de France that day included Costa, Princess Cruises, FTI Cruises, Star Clippers, Celebrity Cruises, Windstar and Club Med.

The port is among the more fascinating stops in the Caribbean, with the French Caribbean department offering everything from rum distilleries, beach lounges, urban art galleries and cafes, rainforest hikes and more.
