St Maarten-based regional Caribbean carrier Winair has opened a sales office in Philipsburg, the company announced this week.

The opening comes after Hurricanes Irma and Maria destroyed Winair’s main offices and severely damaged the island’s airport (the latter of which is now open again).

Customers can book flights, change reservations and sit down with a customer service agent at the new space on WA Nisbeth road.

“This is an important step in meeting our customers’ needs, our team and all partnering vendors have worked tirelessly to make this a reality and we thank them for their achievements during these difficult times”, said Michael Cleaver, President & CEO of Winair.

Winair said it had also relocated its accounting and administrative departments to return to full operating services.
