The legendary Curtain Bluff luxury all-inclusive in Antigua is reopening Oct. 28 after a $13 million renovation project.

The beach resort had been closed for six months to complete the final phase of what it called an “extensive refresh and transformation.”

The transformation included a complete overhaul of the resort entrance, dining spaces, bar, lounge and reception area, with the project led by International Design Concepts and architect Andrew Goodenough. (Goodenough had previously executed an expansion project at Curtain Bluff in 1983).

Curtain Bluff also redefined its signature Tamarind Restaurant, while refreshing its meeting space.

All of the resort’s rooms and suites have been refurnished with “bright new fabrics, furnishings and furniture that echo the colors of nature that fill the windows of every room,” the resort said in a statement.

One of Curtain Bluff’s signature Huilford Collection suites.

On the service side, Curtain Bluff has also added a new “Beach Concierge” to cater to “guests’ every sand-perched need.”

“Our renovation underscores Curtain Bluff’s commitment to providing a signature luxury experience paired with the utmost level of service that keeps our guests coming back year after year,” said Rob Sherman, Managing Director of Curtain Bluff. “We are thrilled to unveil the changes though we promise our guests that one element that will never change is the family welcome they feel the moment they step foot on property. The resort may have a new updated, elegant look but its charm will always remain the same.”
