St. Lucia’s Sugar Beach Names New GM

St. Lucia’s Sugar Beach, a Viceroy Resort has named a new general manager, the property announced this week.

Sugar Beach has appointed Mark Sterner to the role, succeeding Andre Boersma, who had served in the role for the previous eight years.

He comes to Sugar Beach after most recently serving as general manager and hotel manager of the Viceroy Yas, Abu Dhabi.

“I am excited about this new challenge and welcome the opportunity to extend my experience with Viceroy Hotel Group in the Caribbean and to work with hotel owner, Roger Myers at this truly world class resort,” he said.

Sterner’s previous Caribbean experience includes stops at Sandy Lane in Barbados and the K-Club in Barbuda, among others.
