The Caribbean’s most wine-friendly hotel has a special twist

It looks like it’s going to be a very merry Christmas in Nassau, where the Christmas tree at the venerable hotel and restaurant Graycliff, is made entirely of wine bottles.

We suppose the nifty use of the bottles really shouldn’t come as a surprise since the hotel is famous for having a cellar with 250,000 fine wines from all over the world.

The tree is a festive recycling project that’s drawing attention from visitors and plenty of entries to a competition on the hotel’s Facebook page.

If you’re a Bahamian resident and you guess how many bottles are in the tree and how many of those are champagne bottles, you could win dinner for two. (Which we presume will include at least one bottle of celebratory wine!)

The competition runs until noon on Christmas Eve.
