A new culinary concept in Old San Juan

By the Caribbean Journal staff

San Juan’s El Convento hotel is taking the farm-to-table concept one step further.

The hotel set in a 360-year-old convent in Old San Juan has debuted a new “Garden to Palate” package, focusing on the property’s herb garden.

It offers guests the chance to join Executive Chef Luis Castillo to pick herbs to be incorporated in their next meal — joined by unlimited champagne during the garden tour.

It also includes dinner for two and an upgrade.

That’s something worth toasting.
