AMResorts to Open New Resort in the Dominican Republic

SAN JUAN — AMResorts is planning to open a new resort property in the Dominican Republic, the company announced Thursday.

The company will debut a new Dreams resort in the destination of La Romana.

The company made the announcement in the context of the CHTA Caribbean Travel Marketplace in San Juan.

The new-construction hotel, called Dreams Dominicus La Romana, is planning to open in October 2015.

It will be AMResorts’ eight resort in the Dominican Republic.

By 2016, the company is planning to expand its portfolio to 41 hotels in the region.
