The Sandals Royal Caribbean Spa Resort & Offshore Island is planning to build five over-the-water suites on its private island.

The project, which is set to begin in July, will include five 1,400-square-foot villas with glass floors, soaking tubs, king-size beds, flat-screen TVs in the living room and bedroom areas and indoor and outdoor showers. They will also each include a built-in-over-the-water hammock.

The resort also announced it was planning a renovation of 14 existing rooms, Sandals announced Tuesday.

The resort will convert the 14 rooms into Grand Luxury Butler Suites, complete with “Tranquility Soaking Tubs.” The rooms will be housed in the Edinburgh Building.

Each suite will include a bedroom with a 15-foot verandah, a freestanding tub and an exterior dining area.

Those suites will be unveiled on Nov. 31, the company said.
