This Bahamas Boutique Resort Just Reopened With a New Bakery, On-Site Chocolates, and Concierge Service

The Caerula Mar Club has reopened for the fall season on South Andros, resuming operations after its customary seasonal pause — with some exciting new additions.
The boutique retreat spans 10 acres on the island’s southeastern coast, one of the most undeveloped areas in The Bahamas. South Andros is the largest of the country’s islands by land mass yet remains sparsely populated, with most of its landscape defined by blue holes, mangroves, and long stretches of beach.
For the new season, Caerula Mar has added a number of updates to its guest experience. The property has introduced golf cart rentals for easier mobility, along with Sea-Doo rentals for water-based excursions. A new in-house bakery is now producing breads and pastries daily, and the resort’s Switcha restaurant has expanded its menu. Another addition is Lusca Chocolates, a line of truffles and chocolates made on site. The resort has also launched a concierge service designed to help guests plan their stay and explore the island.
Since opening in 2020, Caerula Mar has positioned itself as one of the Out Islands’ more intimate accommodations, with a mix of suites and villas, a beachfront pool, and access to South Andros’ largely undeveloped natural environment. The reopening comes as The Bahamas heads into the start of its fall travel period, ahead of the busier winter season.
