Virgin Voyages’ New Brilliant Lady Ship Has Panama Canal Cruises, Fresh Shows, and a Spanish Eatery
Virgin Voyages’ newest ship sets sail this fall — and it’s raising the bar for adult-only cruising in the Caribbean.
Virgin Voyages is expanding again — and this time, it’s with a ship designed to deliver something fresh, sleek, and unmistakably grown-up. Her name? Brilliant Lady, and she’s launching in September 2025 with a lineup of Caribbean sailings from Miami.
She’s the fourth vessel in Virgin’s growing fleet, and like her sisters, she’s a 100% adult-only floating resort, where every restaurant is included, gratuities are taken care of, and every detail is built around freedom and flexibility.
But Brilliant Lady isn’t just more of the same — she’s the first Virgin ship able to transit the Panama Canal, and the first to sail in the Pacific Northwest. Before that, though, she’s spending the winter season doing what Virgin does best: island-hopping through the Caribbean in high style.
Caribbean Routes With a Twist
Starting in October 2025, Brilliant Lady will offer a full season of Caribbean cruises out of Miami, ranging from 7- to 12-night voyages that stop in both classic and under-the-radar destinations. Think San Juan, St. Croix, Puerto Plata, Curacao, Grand Turk, Antigua, and Aruba — each sailing with its own rhythm and mix of ports.
Every Caribbean itinerary includes a day at Virgin Voyages’ Beach Club at Bimini, a private enclave in the Bahamas reserved exclusively for Virgin guests. Designed more like a boutique beach resort than a cruise line outpost, it offers DJ-led pool parties, open-air lounges, elevated dining, and quiet pockets of shade and sand.
Whether you’re looking for a quiet swim, a cabana with cocktail service, or a late-night bonfire under the stars, Bimini delivers the kind of cruise beach day that doesn’t feel like one.

Designed for Adults, Built for Freedom
Brilliant Lady continues Virgin’s signature design language: bold, modern, and unapologetically different from the traditional cruise ship. It’s a reason our editors and contributors consistently rate this as one of their favorite cruise experiences (and one of the best cruise options from Miami).
There’s no buffet, no dress code, and no set dining times. Instead, you’ll find more than 20 unique dining options — from Korean barbecue and modern Mexican to vegan fine dining — all included in your fare.
The entertainment is just as original: immersive theater, pop-up performances, interactive game shows, and signature events like Scarlet Night, Virgin’s red-hot ship-wide celebration.
Staterooms feature mood lighting, rainfall showers, and clever tech that lets you control the vibe with a tablet. For guests in the top-tier suites, extras include marble bars, larger terraces with hammocks, and access to the exclusive Richard’s Rooftop.
Onboard Highlights
Over 1,400 cabins, most with balconies and signature red hammocks for lounging at sea.
More than 20 included restaurants, featuring global cuisine — with no upcharges or main dining rooms.
All tips, Wi-Fi, group fitness classes, and essential drinks (like coffee, tea, and juices) are included in your fare.
Original, adults-only entertainment, from immersive theater to pop-up performances and Virgin’s famous Scarlet Night.
Dedicated wellness spaces, including sunrise yoga decks, a boxing ring, and a cold-press juice bar.
Completely kid-free, with no buffets, no formal nights, and no pressure — just grown-up freedom.
Sailing Soon: What to Expect
Brilliant Lady’s maiden Caribbean sailing departs October 17, 2025, on an 8-night cruise to St. Maarten, Tortola, and Bimini. From there, she’ll offer a mix of itineraries through spring 2026.
That follows a handful of Bermuda cruises from New York in September.
In April, she’ll make her way through the Panama Canal to Los Angeles, and later to Seattle, where she’ll become the first Virgin Voyages ship to sail Alaska.
But for travelers looking for a stylish, adults-only escape this winter — with long days in port, high-end cuisine, and a totally different kind of cruise energy — the Caribbean season aboard Brilliant Lady is the perfect place to start.
What Brilliant Lady Cruises Will Cost
The first cruise on Brilliant Lady in October from Miami will have prices starting $2,704 per cabin (that’s how Virgin does its pricing, rather than showing double occupancy prices). That gets you an “insider” cabin with amenities like a rain shower, mood lighting and a “glam station.”
If you want to upgrade to a sea view, it’s $3,024 per cabin; If you want a private balcony (that comes with a hammock), the prices go up to $3,666 per cabin. We’d suggest going for the sea view; Virgin’s ships are so much fun you won’t be spending a ton of time in the room anyway.
