John McEnroe’s Bahamas Tennis Tournament Is Back Again in Nassau
It’s tennis, redefined — island-style.
The Baha Mar Cup is back for its sixth year, bringing four days of pro tennis, celebrity matchups, clinics and culinary events to the shores of Nassau. Held December 11 through 14, the 2025 edition of the tournament will feature an expanded format headlined by the launch of a new Celebrity Pro-Am — pairing tennis professionals with globally known celebrities at the John McEnroe Tennis Center at Baha Mar.
Hosted by tennis legends John McEnroe and Bahamian native Mark Knowles, the event blends competition with community impact, supporting the Baha Mar Resort Foundation and the Mark Knowles Children’s Initiative, two organizations focused on youth tennis and development in The Bahamas.
The four-day schedule includes skill-building clinics, amateur and celebrity pro-ams, exhibitions and curated social experiences.

The Schedule:
Thursday, Dec. 11: Player clinics followed by a welcome reception at Rosewood Baha Mar.
Friday, Dec. 12: Amateur Pro-Am Tournament and pro exhibitions, with an evening culinary event hosted by Chef Marcus Samuelsson.
Saturday, Dec. 13: Celebrity Pro-Am match followed by the Baha Mar Foundation Dinner.
Sunday, Dec. 14: Tennis clinics and a complimentary Kids Clinic for local youth.
Past editions have featured stars like Coco Gauff, Andy Roddick, Victoria Azarenka, Jessica Pegula, and James Blake. The 2025 lineup will be announced in the weeks ahead.
Exclusive resort packages at Rosewood and Grand Hyatt Baha Mar are now available, starting at $5,500.
Since its inception, the Baha Mar Cup has raised more than $300,000 for community and youth initiatives across The Bahamas.
“I am very excited to return to the Baha Mar Cup in 2025,” said McEnroe. “This event not only showcases the joy of tennis but also brings together remarkable talent for a great cause.”
Even if you’re not coming for the Cup, you can enjoy one of the best tennis centers in the Caribbean at Baha Mar.
