Condor Airlines will be returning to Antigua and Barbuda for a second season this winter, Caribbean Journal has learned.

Antigua and Barbuda tourism officials revealed they had secured a second season of flights on Condor, which is flying between Frankfurt and Antigua’s VC Bird International Airport.

Condor launched the flights last year, which led to a significant increase in arrivals from the German-speaking market.

Growth from the German-speaking market is already up 46 percent in January, compared to the same period in 2024. That includes strong forward bookings during Antigua Sailing Week, officials said.

“Antigua and Barbuda have maintained a long-standing relationship with the German-speaking market,” said Colin C. James, CEO of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, who led the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority’s delegation to the ITB tourism conference in Berlin this week. “Condor’s return for a second season is a strong testament to the route’s success, particularly in attracting high-end travelers. The demand from this market continues to drive growth in the luxury sector, aligning with our strategy to increase and sustain airlift from Europe.”

The news comes as Antigua and Barbuda is reporting a big increase in bookings for its luxury four and five-star hotel market, to the tune of a nearly 300 percent increase compared to 2024.

The ABTA delegation included hotel partners like Elite Island Resorts, Caribbean Beach Cottages and Royalton Resorts.

Condor first relaunched its service to Antigua last November, as we reported.

Prices start at about 350 euros each way.
