The luxury resorts. The beaches (looking at you, Grace Bay and Long Bay). The little out-of-the-way islands like Middle Caicos. There are countless reasons why Turks and Caicos has been one of the region’s most sought-after destinations in recent years, particularly in the post-pandemic period.

And it seems travelers continue to fall in love.

Turks and Caicos was one of the top 10 trending destinations on Google this year, according to a just-released report from the company.

Overall, Turks and Caicos was ranked ninth among top trending destinations, along with 10 in the top honeymoon destinations and fourth in the top ten “babymoon” destinations.

“The Turks and Caicos Islands has seen double digit growth of 19 percent in air arrivals in 2024 over that of 2023. We remain the top performing Premium Class Destination in the Caribbean,” said Turks and Caicos Tourism Minister Josephine Connolly in a statement shared with Caribbean Journal. “I am very proud of the strides our tourism sector continues to make and as we enter the 2024/2025 Winter season, I know our performance will continue to improve.”

The report comes after one of the island’s most popular spots, Grand Turk, was named the top trending destination by travel firm Skyscanner.
