Cunard Is Bringing the Queen Elizabeth to Miami for Caribbean Cruises

By: Caitlin Sullivan - December 5, 2024 - 5:04 pm

The Queen Elizabeth is coming to the Caribbean. Cunard’s legendary ship is coming to the Caribbean next year for its first-ever full season in Miami, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The Miami homeport will begin after the ship undergoes what Cunard is calling a “significant refit” between February and March next year in Singapore.

The Cunard ship will kick off its Caribbean season with a 12-night sailing that includes stops in ports like Barbados and Saint Lucia.

So what’s happening to the ship? It will get some new interiors, along with “revitalizations” of the Commodore Club and Queens Room, among others.

The ship will also see the new “Pavilion Wellness Cafe,” a new concept for the brand that already debuted on the Queen Anne ship.

The Miami homeport is a “new chapter” for Cunard, according to the company’s president, Katie McAlister.

So what will it cost?

For an October 2025 sailing out of Miami, rates start at around $1,299 per person for a 12-night cruise on Queen Elizabeth. That’s for an interior stateroom.
