New Flights Will Connect Palm Beach With Eleuthera and Abaco in The Bahamas
A world-famous pink sand beach. Charming cottages and villas. A magical waterfront downtown. Harbour Island has captivated travelers for decades, with its unique blend of history and immense natural beauty.
Now, the Caribbean’s top luxury airline is making it easier than ever to get there from South Florida.
Tradewind Aviation, which specializes in connecting travelers to some of the Caribbean’s most sought-after destinations, from St Barth to Antigua to Virgin Gorda, is adding a new scheduled nonstop route between Palm Beach, Fla. and North Eleuthera International Airport — the getaway to Harbour Island in The Bahamas.

Tradewind will be operating the semi-private service on its Pilatus PC-12 aircraft, meaning a new, easy, endlessly stylish way to fly to North Eleuthera – where travelers connect to ferries or boats for the quick hop over to “Briland,” as locals calls it.
It’s a significant boost for the Harbour Island scene and for those looking to travel to other destinations in Eleuthera.
But it’s not alone.

Tradewind is also launching scheduled nonstop service to another beloved destination in The Bahamas: Marsh Harbour, Abaco, another important gateway to surrounding islands like Baker’s Bay, Green Turtle Cay and Great Guana, among others.
Official schedules for the new routes will be published the next few weeks, a spokesperson for Tradewind told Caribbean Journal.
They’re the first scheduled routes for Tradewind’s new base in Palm Beach, complementing its other Caribbean operations which are focused in San Juan, Puerto Rico, connecting destinations like St Barth, Virgin Gorda and Anguilla, among others.

Are you planning a vacation to Harbour Island or Abaco?
For Harbour Island, we highly recommend timeless properties like The Dunmore and Pink Sands.
For Abaco, it depends on which destination you’re eyeing. If you want a luxurious, residential resort with a world-class golf course, it’s the Abaco Club on Winding Bay. If you want to venture out to one of the tiny cays for which Abaco is famous, we’re big fans of Green Turtle Cay, the home of the beautiful Bluff House resort.
