Silver Airways Is Adding Nonstop Flights to Two Islands in The Bahamas

By: Alexander Britell - January 12, 2024

Continuing its active expansion in the wider region, Silver Airways is adding a pair of new nonstop routes to the islands of The Bahamas, Caribbean Journal has learned.

Beginning in March, Silver will be relaunching service from West Palm Beach to two destinations in The Bahamas: Nassau and Marsh Harbour, Abaco.

The Nassau service will be operating daily, while West Palm Beach-Marsh Harbour flights will be operating three times per week, with service on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Both routes will be kicking off on March 5, Silver Airways confirmed.

Marsh Harbour flights start at around $371.20 round trip, according to Silver’s Web site.

West Palm Beach-Nassau flights are starting as low as $396 round trip.

Silver now operates flights to seven different destinations in The Bahamas, including Nassau, Freeport, Bimini, Marsh Harbour, North Eleuthera, Governor’s Harbour (Eleuthera) and Great Exuma.

It’s a significant new addition for a strong source city for The Bahamas, and buoys the country’s efforts to court more visitors from the important, nearby South Florida market.

South Florida has seen several significant new flight launches to The Bahamas in the last few months, including Bahamasair’s new service between Fort Lauderdale and Exuma and Makers Air’s landmark flights between Fort Lauderdale and Long Island

Silver Airways recently added landmark service between Fort Lauderdale and Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. That followed the launch of new flights out of its hub in San Juan, with service to both Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic and the island of Antigua.
