Shake Shack Just Opened in The Bahamas (And It Serves Rum Punch)

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - July 24, 2023

Shake Shack has just opened its first-ever location in The Bahamas, with a sparkling new location at the Atlantis Paradise Island resort.

The new Shake Shack Atlantis is also one of the first Shake Shacks in the world to feature a full bar, one that will be serving up classic Bahamian rum punch.

The eatery will also include several Bahamian-specific menu items: Shake Shack Atlantis shakes, “Sunset Shakes” with guava strawberry puree and mango passionfruit custard; and even Buried Treasure Concrete, which includes vanilla and chocolate custard blended with toasted white chocolate, chocolate pearls, vanilla cookies, and topped with chocolate golden nuggets.

The restaurant will also be donating five percent of sales to the Atlantis Blue Project Foundation, which supports the preservation and conservation of marine wildlife and Bahamian ecosystems.

“Shake Shack Atlantis is the first Shack to open in a resort location anywhere in the world. Guests will enjoy Shake Shack’s classic menu items and new offerings that exemplify the flavors and customs of the Bahamas,” said Audrey Oswell, President and Managing Director of Atlantis Paradise Island Bahamas.

The Shake Shack Atlantis location is set right next to the resorts iconic Dig, the property’s open-air marine habitat. That means a front-row seat to the property’s aquarium through the restaurant’s floor-to-ceiling windows.

It also features a mural from local artist Shacqeel Coleby.
