Hilton’s Motto by Hilton brand is opening its first-ever Caribbean hotel in the Mexican hotspot of Tulum.

The hotel will be set in the Hunan Lifestyle Center, a popular mixed-use destination in Tulum about 10 minutes from the city center.

The new Motto by Hilton Tulum is now accepting reservations for a planned opening date of Nov. 30, 2022 and beyond, according to the company.

The hotel will join the newly-opened Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya All-Inclusive resort, which opened earlier this year, as the company’s Tulum-area properties.

The Motto brand is focused “the most coveted neighborhoods around the world,” according to Hilton, with a philosophy of locally-inspired design and “neighborhood flavors.”

The Tulum hotel will have a total of 116 rooms, free Wi-Fi, an on-site eatery, a boutique and a pair of rooftop pools with jungle views.

Tulum, one of the hottest destinations in the region since the onset of the pandemic (and before that), continues to see renewed interest from major hotel brands, from Hilton to Marriott.
