Waldorf Astoria’s New Turks and Caicos Private-Island Resort Is Now Projecting a 2030 Debut
Waldorf Astoria’s planned private-island resort in Turks and Caicos has a new projected opening year: 2030.
Hilton is now listing Waldorf Astoria Turks and Caicos Dellis Cay for a 2030 debut, according to its latest Caribbean development update. The projection puts the resort two years beyond the 2028 opening target announced when Hilton unveiled the project in April 2025.
The update provides a new planning horizon for the luxury resort, which is slated to introduce the Waldorf Astoria brand to Turks and Caicos. Hilton has given an expected opening year, with a specific opening date still to come.
A Boat Ride From Providenciales
The previously announced arrival experience begins with a 25-minute boat transfer from Providenciales to Dellis Cay, where Hilton’s plans call for villa-style accommodations and more than three miles of beachfront.
The hotel component is planned with 62 rooms and suites, including 10 beachfront bungalows with private terraces and plunge pools. A residential collection would add condominiums, beach villas and ocean villas, combining resort accommodations with larger homes.
The private-island location would make the journey by boat part of every arrival, with guests continuing beyond Providenciales before checking in.
What’s Planned at the Resort
Hilton’s original announcement outlined an all-day restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a beach and pool bar and grill, and Peacock Alley, the signature Waldorf Astoria gathering place.
The amenity plans also include a 13,455-square-foot spa, a fitness center, a library, retail space and separate adult and family pools. These remain previously announced project details; the latest development update supplies the revised opening projection.
Another Hilton Luxury Opening in 2030
Dellis Cay is part of a broader Hilton expansion in Turks and Caicos. The company’s latest update also projects a 2030 opening for AMARIS Grace Bay Turks and Caicos, LXR Hotels & Resorts.
The two properties would bring separate Hilton luxury brands to the destination, with Waldorf Astoria on Dellis Cay and LXR on Grace Bay. Both appear in a Caribbean portfolio Hilton says now exceeds 100 open and planned hotels.
Anyone following the Dellis Cay project should now use 2030 as the expected debut year, replacing the earlier 2028 target.
