Royal Caribbean has officially opened Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, debuting a new kind of all-inclusive beach day just offshore from Nassau. The first guests arrived Dec. 23, marking the launch of a destination that blends the vibrance and energy of The Bahamas with Royal Caribbean’s curated beach-day playbook.

The opening follows a ribbon-cutting celebration earlier in the month that brought together Bahamian government leaders, community members and Royal Caribbean executives, closing a development arc that began when construction broke ground in April 2024.

The Beach Club Experience

The setting revolves around 2 beaches and 3 pools, stitched together by bars, grills and open walkways that keep the day moving. Everything essential to a beach day is included: loungers, umbrellas, towels, lockers, Wi-Fi and round-trip transportation aboard a fleet of brightly colored water ferries that shuttle guests from Nassau to Paradise Island.

Food and drink are central to the experience. Guests have access to unlimited bites at 3 beach grills and drinks from 10 waterfront bars, spread across the property so that no single area becomes a choke point. Live music and entertainment add texture throughout the day, while artisan huts and cultural programming keep the Bahamian influence visible rather than ornamental. And yes, you can get an all-inclusive pass that includes your cocktails and your food.

The Floating Flamingo

The visual and social anchor of the beach club is The Floating Flamingo, billed as the world’s largest swim-up bar. Set in Party Cove, the bar is built for motion, with DJ-driven music, an expansive swim-up counter and space that keeps energy circulating from late morning through the afternoon.

Above it sits The Party Deck, a second-level experience designed for groups that want something more contained. These reservable spaces accommodate up to 12 guests with private pool-front seating, dedicated food and beverage service and wide views over the water, offering a more structured way to engage with the club’s liveliest zone.

Family Beach

Families gravitate toward Family Beach, where the emphasis is on access and ease rather than spectacle. The Shallow End pool features zero-entry access, making it workable for younger guests, while nearby beach areas provide both sun and shaded options.

The centerpiece here is the Ultimate Family Cabana, a two-level private space that redefines what a cabana can be. It includes a private whirlpool, a wet-dry slide, a frozen drink machine and premium attendant service, creating a contained retreat without separating families from the broader beach-club flow. Beach games like spike ball and ring toss keep the atmosphere active without overwhelming the space.

Chill Beach

Chill Beach occupies the quieter end of the spectrum. The white-sand beach pairs with The Deep End pool, where guests can spend the afternoon with a cocktail or mocktail from the swim-up bar and very little agenda beyond staying put.

For those looking to elevate the experience, beach and poolside cabanas are available throughout the area, offering upgraded amenities and personal attendant service while keeping the tone intentionally relaxed. This is the counterbalance to Party Cove, designed for guests who want the same inclusions without the volume.

A Bahamian Partnership

Royal Beach Club Paradise Island was developed through a public-private partnership with the Bahamian government, a structure that Royal Caribbean has emphasized as foundational rather than incidental. The project supports hundreds of local jobs and integrates Bahamian influence across architecture, live entertainment, retail and food.

Local artisans operate on site, and cultural programming runs throughout the day, reinforcing the connection to place while maintaining the operational consistency Royal Caribbean is known for. The result is a destination that feels distinctly Bahamian without breaking the all-inclusive rhythm cruise guests expect.

“Guests told us they were looking for more ways to make the most of their vacations in The Bahamas, and that’s exactly what we’ve created,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean. “Whether it’s a chill day on the island’s 2 pristine beaches or the ultimate beach party at the world’s largest swim-up bar, we’ve crafted a destination that caters to every mood.”

Where It Fits in Royal Caribbean’s Destination Portfolio

Royal Beach Club Paradise Island joins Perfect Day at CocoCay as part of Royal Caribbean’s growing portfolio of land-based destinations. It also signals a broader expansion strategy, particularly in the Caribbean, with Royal Beach Club Cozumel slated for 2026 and Perfect Day Mexico launching later that year.

Together, the projects reflect a shift toward differentiated, purpose-built beach experiences that give cruise itineraries a stronger sense of place without requiring guests to plan independently once they arrive.

Roatán has quietly become one of the Caribbean’s most reliable alternatives to the region’s bigger-name islands — less crowded, easiergoing, and still closely tied to what draws travelers here in the first place: reefs close to shore, small beaches tucked into coves, and a pace that has resisted large-scale tourism. A newly opened all-inclusive on […]
