Magnificent white-sand beaches. Green hills. World-class sailing. Hidden cays. Rainforests. Waterfalls. Should I go on?

It all begins with a flight into the heart of the Eastern Caribbean — places that once seemed far away, now just a boarding pass away. This winter, Delta Air Lines is bringing travelers closer to two of the region’s most compelling islands, offering nonstop flights that will make the Caribbean feel more open, more accessible, and more connected than ever before.

The new routes represent more than convenience. They mean waking up to emerald mountains above a volcanic harbor, or wandering a colorful market where the air is filled with the scent of nutmeg and cocoa. They mean stepping off a plane in Atlanta and just hours later feeling the sand of a secluded cove between your toes.

And for the destinations themselves, it is a moment of connection: a bridge between the American traveler and islands that have always been waiting to be explored.

Two New Islands on the Map

This winter, Delta will become the only U.S. carrier offering nonstop service from Atlanta to St. Vincent and the Grenadines and to Grenada.

Grenada, the “Spice Island,” offers a different kind of immersion. Here, the markets overflow with nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves, and the landscape is defined by rainforests, waterfalls and volcanic peaks. From the vibrant bustle of St. George’s Market to the serene trails of Grand Etang National Park, Grenada is equal parts culture and nature, tradition and adventure.

But it’s also something else: one of the top beach destinations in the Caribbean, from the legendary sands of Grand Anse Beach to one of the region’s best-kept secrets: BBC Beach. And that’s just the start.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines is a sailor’s paradise — a string of islands and cays where you can charter a yacht, explore hidden beaches, and find quiet anchorages that feel a world away. The islands invite a slower pace, the kind where afternoons stretch long under the Caribbean sun.

Delta’s Expansion in the Region

“With two brand-new destinations in the Eastern Caribbean, Delta is expanding its offering in the region, with even more seats to Latin America and the Caribbean this winter,” said Paul Baldoni, Senior Vice President of Network Planning at Delta, in a statement obtained by Caribbean Journal. “Customers across the U.S. will also benefit from more flights to top destinations from hubs in the Midwest and Northeast, as well as new direct service from key cities like Austin, Nashville and Raleigh-Durham.”

Both routes will be operated on Delta’s Boeing 737-800 aircraft, featuring First Class, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin, giving travelers multiple ways to enjoy their Caribbean journey.

Flights start at about $545 roundtrip from Atlanta to Grenada, according to Google Flights.
