Blue Diamond Resorts to Add All-Inclusive Paraíso de la Bonita to Its Portfolio, Joining Marriott’s Luxury Collection
Blue Diamond Resorts is expanding its luxury footprint with the addition of Paraíso de la Bonita, a top-rated adults-only all-inclusive resort on Mexico’s Riviera Maya, which opened earlier this year. The beachfront retreat will soon become part of Marriott’s Luxury Collection, marking Blue Diamond’s debut within the iconic brand.
The two companies’ broader alliance covers dozens of all-inclusive properties around the Caribbean, mostly under the Royalton brand.
The move represents a significant milestone for Blue Diamond Resorts as it celebrates its 15th anniversary, signaling a deeper push into the high-end all-inclusive space.
“As we gradually welcome Paraíso de la Bonita into our journey, this moment stands as both a proud achievement and a meaningful milestone,” said Jordi Pelfort, President of Blue Diamond Resorts, in a statement provided to Caribbean Journal. “The opportunity to collaborate on such an iconic resort within The Luxury Collection reflects how far we’ve come and where we’re headed.”
Located just 20 minutes from Cancun International Airport, Paraíso de la Bonita offers a secluded, hacienda-style escape nestled between a mangrove reserve and the Caribbean Sea. The resort is known for its design-forward aesthetic and deep connection to local heritage, from hand-carved furniture to artisan details and open-air showers in select suites.
The 90-suite resort is entirely oceanfront or ocean-view, with private terraces, deep soaking tubs, and marble bathrooms that feel like personal spas. The culinary program features three oceanfront restaurants and two refined bars, while wellness offerings include one of the Caribbean’s only open-air Thalasso therapy pools and a spa inspired by ancestral traditions.
The upcoming integration into The Luxury Collection is expected to elevate the resort’s visibility among discerning travelers, while maintaining the soulful, locally rooted experience that has made it a standout on the Riviera Maya.
Rooms at the resort are around $310 per night right now.
