This Year’s St Kitts Music Festival Was a Big Hit
The 2025 edition of the Saint Kitts Music Festival was one of the most successful in the event’s history, drawing more than 37,000 patrons over its three-night run, according to preliminary data released by the country’s Ministry of Tourism.
Tourism Minister Marsha Henderson shared the attendance figures during a cabinet-wide press conference this week, highlighting the growth of the festival and its increasing appeal both regionally and internationally.
“On the Thursday night, we had about 11,000 patrons. On the Friday night, we had close to 16,000 patrons. And on the Saturday night, we had just under 10,000 patrons,” Henderson said of the event, which included headliners like Jennifer Hudson.
The numbers reflect a 76 percent increase in attendance over last year’s festival, driven by expanded marketing efforts, stronger international partnerships, and rising destination visibility.
Henderson also noted the festival’s improved ticketing system, which this year enabled the scanning of tickets to provide more accurate crowd counts. “We did have some glitches, but this gave us better data than ever before,” she said.
An official economic impact study is currently underway, with results expected by the end of August. The Ministry says the assessment will offer a clearer picture of the festival’s contributions to local tourism, hospitality, and small business development.
The Saint Kitts Music Festival has emerged as one of the Caribbean’s top cultural events, drawing regional and international artists and fans to the island each summer. Henderson thanked the volunteers, staff, and stakeholders who have helped make the festival a continued success
