Gaia River Lodge, Belize We just fell in love with this resort when we first visited last year, and it just keeps getting better. You know the moment you reach the “lobby” that you’ve discovered something special. The actual hotel space is hundreds of feet high above the river, where the hotel has set up an incredibly cool “river beach” that is unlike anything else in the whole region. The rooms themselves are breezy, dreamy and wonderful. There’s even an organic garden. Just a special place.
