There’s a different kind of escape waiting in the Caribbean. These aren’t your typical adults-only resorts. They’re not about wristbands. They don’t follow a formula. They’re quiet, curated, intimate places—each with its own rhythm and reason for being. What ties them together? They’re all adults-only. They’re all refreshingly different. And none of them are all-inclusive—by design.

These are the secret stays, where you’re not just on vacation. You’re in a state of mind. Here are 10 of the most unique adults-only hotels in the Caribbean—each a destination in itself: unique, discreet, wonderful.

We just adore this hotel.

Boardwalk Boutique Hotel Aruba

Palm Beach, Aruba

Hidden in a former coconut plantation just off Palm Beach, Boardwalk is a lush collection of casitas that feel more like your own Caribbean cottage than a hotel. You’ll find hammocks under palms, private plunge pools, and a peaceful atmosphere that’s strictly grown-ups only. It’s intimate, breezy, and just far enough off the beach to feel like your own private hideaway.

The Saint Hotel

St John, US Virgin Islands

In the heart of Cruz Bay, The Saint is small, stylish, and unmistakably cool. It’s also the newest, most exciting hotel in the US Virgin Islands. With a collection of well-designed rooms and easy access to the best dining and beach-hopping on St John, this is where in-the-know travelers check in—and often don’t want to check out. No set meals, no schedules. Just the freedom to explore the island your own way.

Art Hotel Curaçao

Willemstad, Curaçao

This boutique gem in the colorful Pietermaai district is bold, bright, and full of personality. The property, which just opened its doors (as we reported first) feels more like staying in a private gallery than a hotel, with every wall a canvas and every space thoughtfully designed. Here, you’re steps from live music, tapas, and the pulse of Willemstad’s creative scene. It’s an artistic, adults-only immersion in the real Curaçao.

Ti Kaye Resort and Spa

Anse la Raye, Saint Lucia

Ti Kaye is perched on a hillside above a sparkling cove, with gingerbread cottages tucked into the trees and verandas that seem to float above the sea. This is one of Saint Lucia’s most romantic escapes, a place to unwind with spa rituals, wine cellar tastings, and sunset views from your private plunge pool. It’s serene, soulful, and quietly unforgettable.

There’s a cool village here, too.

Kura Botanica Hotel

Willemstad, Curaçao

Kura Botanica blends 19th-century Caribbean architecture with tropical modern design in a lush, hilltop garden setting. Think restored colonial homes, secret courtyards, and botanical pathways leading to just 17 adults-only rooms. This is a stay for dreamers and design lovers—and it’s all just minutes from downtown Willemstad. Here’s more from one of our contributors on his stay.

OLV Fifty Five

San Juan, Puerto Rico

OLV Fifty Five brings high design to the heart of Condado. With its rooftop pool, lagoon views, and fashion-forward aesthetic, it feels more like a luxury pied-à-terre than a hotel. The restaurant and bar scene here is top-notch, but the real magic is in the details—sleek rooms, curated playlists, and a vibe that’s as elevated as the skyline views. My favorite thing here just might be the showers – all of which look right out to the Condado lagoon.

Bamboo Bonaire

Bonaire

This tranquil collection of Balinese-inspired cottages is tucked in a private garden oasis on the laid-back island of Bonaire. It’s adults-only, intimate, and effortlessly romantic. Each cottage features an outdoor shower and a cozy patio—and some come with private hot tubs or pools under the stars. The onsite spa and restaurant add just the right touch without ever being over the top. I just love the rooms here, and so did our editor-in-chief.

The Fred

Frederiksted, St Croix

Colorful, quirky, and completely unrepeatable, The Fred is a boutique hotel with a big personality. Right on the water in historic Frederiksted, it’s a mix of Victorian charm and contemporary fun. There’s a beach club, a spa, a poolside bar—and it all feels like your favorite beach town fantasy brought to life. It’s also the best hotel in Frederiksted, and strictly adults-only.

Pink Palm Hotel

St Thomas, US Virgin Islands

Set on a hillside above Charlotte Amalie, Pink Palm is a design dream—soft pinks, clean whites, and sweeping views of the harbor below. With just 28 rooms and a lush, secluded feel, it’s like finding a private refuge in the middle of everything. Dining is à la carte, and the island’s best bars and restaurants are a short stroll downhill. But the best thing here is the pool deck, in my view.

Matachica Resort

Ambergris Caye, Belize

With thatched-roof casitas, bold Belizean colors, and a serene beachfront setting, Matachica feels like the barefoot luxury of another era. Each room is intentionally TV-free, encouraging you to disconnect and slip into island time. You can snorkel the reef, explore San Pedro, or just sink into your hammock with a cocktail. The restaurant? One of the best on the island.

These adults-only hotels are places you seek out—each one a reflection of its island, its owners, and a shared belief in slower, deeper travel. They’re for those who want more than just a getaway. They’re for those who want to feel the Caribbean, albeit in a quieter, more exclusive way.
