Canadians are flocking to places like Nassau, above.

It’s the fastest-growing tourism destination for Canadian travelers right now, and it’s not really a competition: The Bahamas is seeing bigger growth from Canada than anywhere else in the Caribbean, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The country welcomed 121,263 Canadian travelers in 2024, a whopping 50.3 percent increase compared to 2023, according to data provided by the Caribbean Tourism Organization.

It was easily the biggest jump in Canadian travel for any Caribbean destination, with Belize coming in second at 19.6 percent growth.

Overall, The Bahamas was the fourth-most-visited Caribbean destination by Canadians, following Cuba, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica.

If that growth keeps up, though, The Bahamas could keep climbing in the Canadian market.
