UK Travelers Are Eyeing Barbados and Saint Lucia Right Now
The Platinum Coast. The Pitons. The rum shops. The rainforest. Barbados and Saint Lucia are two of the most vibrant destinations in the Caribbean, and they’re the two most popular Caribbean destinations for British travelers right now, according to British Airways.
The national flag carrier just released its Travel Trends report, and two Caribbean destinations made the top 10: the islands of Barbados and Saint Lucia.
Barbados came in at number three on the list, just after Dubai; and Saint Lucia was ninth, just behind Mauritius.
They were the two most-searched holiday package destinations in the carrier’s beginning-of-2025 sale, the company said.

It was based on search, consumer surveys and customer research, BA said.
The most interesting takeaway from the report? The “comeback” of all-inclusive, particularly among younger travelers.
That would align with the two islands’ popularity; both have an impressive collection of all-inclusive options to choose from, ranging from Marriott’s all-inclusive collection in Barbados (we loved staying at the recently-refreshed Treasure Beach resort, rooms from $1,089 per night, all-inclusive; to the lovely all-inclusive options like the vacation packages at the Bay Gardens Beach Resort, which has standard rooms starting at $523.
That’s along with the outstanding O2 Beach Club resort on the popular South Coast, which has rooms for $874 per night right now. (Yes, they actually have a roving sangria cart).
So what about flights?
London-Saint Lucia has fares starting at £876.57 roundtrip right now, while you can find fares from London to Barbados for £715.72.
Just note that those fares are in the carrier’s lowest class, Economy Basic.
