Canadian travel giant Sunwing is adding more flights to the Mexican Caribbean hotspot of Tulum this winter, Caribbean Journal has learned.

That includes two new routes: one, a weekly service from Kitchener-Waterloo airport to Cancun, with service beginning on Dec. 16.

The other? A weekly flight between Victoria and Cancun beginning Dec. 10, the company confirmed.

Sunning is also adding options to Cancun from Quebec City (with flights starting Nov. 1) and Kelowna, with the latter set to launch on Dec. 12.

While Cancun has been seeing traffic slow in the last quarter, there’s no question about its enduring appeal as a sun destination, particularly for the Canadian market.
