There’s a New Adults-Only Resort in Playa del Carmen

It's called Devossion.

Playa del Carmen has a new adults-only all-inclusive on its shoreline with the debut of Devossion by Live Aqua, a beachfront resort located steps from Fifth Avenue and facing one of the area’s quieter stretches of sand. The opening adds a design-driven, wellness-focused option to one of the Riviera Maya’s busiest hotel corridors.

The resort sits just inland from the Caribbean Sea, blending a city-center location with direct beach access. Its layout brings together a semi-Olympic pool, a new spa concept called Cenote Spa, multiple dining venues and a full slate of daily programming. The adults-only model is aimed at travelers looking for a higher-end all-inclusive stay within walking distance of Playa del Carmen’s restaurants, shopping and nightlife.

Suites feature ocean views and contemporary design, with an emphasis on privacy and personalized touches. Guests also have the option to upgrade to Devossion Club, which adds lounge access and dedicated services.

Dining includes the Japanese restaurant Nami, the all-day open-kitchen concept Liberi and a grill-driven restaurant called Carnivore. The resort has also introduced a mix of themed evening events, Champagne-focused gatherings and spa-led wellness sessions.

It’s one of two major openings so far in Playa del Carmen this year, along with the rebranding of the former Thompson into the new Hyatt Centric.

What We Like
The opening strengthens Playa del Carmen’s collection of modern, adults-only all-inclusive properties, particularly for travelers who want the convenience of Fifth Avenue without giving up a beachfront setting. The blend of wellness programming, contemporary dining and walkability offers a different angle from the large-scale resort complexes farther south.

How to Get There
Devossion by Live Aqua is located at 1a Avenida and Calle 26 in central Playa del Carmen. The resort is about 45 minutes from Cancun International Airport, with highway access into town and short local transfers to the beachfront. Ferry service to Cozumel is available a few minutes away at Playa del Carmen’s main maritime terminal.

Prices

Rates start at around $502 per night right now, all-inclusive, according to Google Hotels.
