It’s the premier art fair in the Caribbean: FUZE, which brings together art and experiences from 14 different countries in the region, returning to the Baha Mar resort in The Bahamas this week.

FUZE runs during the resort’s Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival, with five days of experiences, including 70 artists, spotlighting 40 different galleries and featuring everything from interactive sessions to panel talks.

There’s no other celebration of the Caribbean art scene quite like it, part of an impressive focus on art at the resort led by the Baha Mar’s Executive Director of Art and Culture (you can find out more from our recent stay at the resort here).

What’s on the agenda of this year?

Galleries including TERN Gallery, Fresh Milk Art Platform, National Art Gallery of The Bahamas, Sixty 2 Sixty, Mestre Projects, Shacqeel Coleby, John Paul Saddleton, June Collie, Galerie Myrtis and Lynn Parotti.

It’s a “destination for art lovers to explore the rich culture that the Caribbean visual art communities have to offer,” the property says.

What else is on tap? Art tours, figure drawing workshops, live artist demos and other classes.

“We are extremely excited to expand our artistic footprint even further at this year’s Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival by welcoming back the FUZE Caribbean Art Fair and extending complimentary access for the first three days thanks to our generous sponsors,” Cox said.
