The Newest Resort in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Is Now Taking Bookings
Whether it’s Grace Bay Beach or Mudjin Harbour or the secluded sands of South Caicos, travelers are falling love with Turks and Caicos now more than ever.
It’s a story that largely began in the pandemic, when the destination’s unique blend of luxury and sophistication made it one of the most popular luxury hotspots the world.
That’s continued in the years since, as travelers continue flocking both to Providenciales and, increasingly to sister islands like North and Middle Caicos.
But Providenciales remains Turks and Caicos’ biggest draw, and that will only increase in a few months with the highly-anticipated debut of The Strand, the island’s newest resort, which officially opens its doors on Nov. 23.
The property, which just announced it had joined Leading Hotels of the World, is now taking bookings for its rooms, which range from one-bedroom suites to large private villas.
So what do you get at The Strand?
The amenities are robust: think butlers, water sports, a beach club, pickleball and a marina. There’s even access to the property’s “club boat.”
That’s along with a new eatery called The DelMar, and a broad sustainability focus anchored by a solar plant that will supply 75 percent of the resort’s power.
The point is for “every guest to feel like an integral part of the vibrant community we’ve cultivated,” says John Fair, the property’s managing director.
And community is the key word here — this is a residential resort, meaning it’s an active, lived-in, residential community where you can stay for your vacation.
It’s set in Cooper Jack Bay, about 10 minutes from Provo’s main airport — and a short drive to all of the action in Grace Bay Village.
The property tells Caribbean Journal that prices are starting at $800 per night.
