Nowhere in the Caribbean has been hotter than Tulum in the last year, a trend only strengthened by the opening of the area’s first-ever International airport earlier this year.
That immediately let to a host of brand-new routes from the United States to Tulum, on every major carrier from United to Jetblue to Delta. (That has, by many accounts, shifted a lot of travelers from Cancun Airport to Tulum Airport, saving what was a two-hour drive).
Now, Delta is adding another new route: Detroit to Tulum, the first of its kind on any carrier.
Beginning Jan. 11, 2025, Delta will be running nonstop flights from Detroit to Tulum.
That will join existing Delta-Tulum service from Atlanta and Minneapolis, for a total of 10 flights from the US to Tulum every week.
