A “Secret” All-Inclusive Resort in Montego Bay

Every room comes with its own hot tub.

It’s a hidden corner of Montego Bay, southwest of the airport, set out on a peninsula in the heart of the sea.

Head out toward the edge of the water and you’ll find a trio of all-inclusive resorts, all part of Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection: Breathless Montego Bay, Secrets St James and Secrets Wild Orchid.

They’re all excellent options for a Montego Bay vacation. But at the very tip of the peninsula there’s another “secret” destination.

This is the Preferred Club at Secrets Wild Orchid, and it just might be the best-kept, well, you know, in Montego Bay.

There are just 90 suites in the Preferred Club, set right out at the edge of the point. But you’re not just getting a more secluded, more upscale section of rooms.

You’re getting what amounts to a standalone resort-within-a-resort, with a privileged portion of beach, its own pool and a property teeming with elevated amenities: concierge service, a fantastic Preferred Club lounge, and everything from an improved mini bar to Molton Brown toiletries.

It’s a sleek, private resort concept, with exceptionally attentive service and some very comfortable rooms.

If you want to go all out, the swim-up rooms, which connect to a lazy river-style pool across the Preferred Club, are an essential choice.

Go for the premium beach front rooms or higher and you get butler service, which means you get bespoke service 24-7, from making dinner reservations to brining out a special stocked cooler for your day at the beach. One of our favorite touches? Every Preferred Club room also comes with its own hot tub out on the balcony.

The Preferred Club lounge is a welcome take on the “club” concept you tend to finding other resorts. It’s got an impressive, well-stocked open bar; and some of the resort’s best food in a buffet.

Its location near the lobby means you’ll use it several times a day (as we did when we stayed here), whether for a full breakfast or just a snack-and-go on your way to the beach or the pool.

These all add up to a complete, very well put-together all-inclusive — even better if you’re a World of Hyatt member.

There’s just something wonderfully intimate and private about this resort — you get all of the Secrets amenities and service you expect — but here, out at the edge of the point, looking out at the majesty of Montego Bay, you just feel extra special.
